Vicky Fleming, Director of Suffolk County Farm and Education Center.  This is the location of LIAA's Arbor Day in 2018. The Suffolk County Farm and Education Center’s mission is to provide hands-on research-based learning to all residents. The Farm’s vision is to connect with our agricultural heritage and to pave the way for a bright, healthy, and sustainable future. Tens of thousands of visitors join us every year at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center--a real working farm in action! Families can participate in our many special events and get up close to the farm animals. The century-old Farm offers unique educational programs for children Pre-K thru 12th grade. The farm is open to the public -- year round, seven days a week from 9 am to 3 pm. Vicky will provide info on the facility and give a tour.

Al Lane, PTS/ESSCO will also be speaking on ticks. He will cover different kinds of ticks on LI, diseases carried, biology of ticks and methods of control. Every year it seems more diseases are found to be carried and transmitted by ticks and there is more concern from residents on Long Island making this an important topic.
